3-2-1 CAST OFF !

Earlier this summer when Austin broke his arm it was pretty tough on him and kinda tough on mom even though we have been through this once before. I made the rocket themed countdown project(photo to follow) with a special treat listed per piece that he built to try to help some of his frustration and it seemed to do the trick cause I don't think he had nearly as much trouble after starting this construction project.
It doesn't look too exciting (as opposed to a colored one)because it was glow in the dark which I could not capture due to my lack of sophisticated equipment.
These two are best of buddies so when she saw the camera out she hurried to his side to be included.
The countdown project that we did. We actually hung it on a closet door but I took this picture after I made it then took it apart and stacked the pieces for him.

How many differences can you find ? ....

besides the crazy lighting. Courtney enjoys her glasses but seldom actually leaves them on very long. However, this particular day she actually wore them pretty much all of our trip to town. I looked back to see if she had fallen asleep since she still had them on, and realized she had made a slight adjustment to her glasses. She seems to think they do the job both ways. :)

A few more Valentines decorations

Just for fun a little color upchange on this one.

This was one of my favorite little spots that I threw together.

Besides the things we made, here are some other things I had set out for Valentines. For some reason I really got into Valentines so I kept adding a dab here and there. I'd like to do some bigger Valentine projects but when I consider the mess that one VERY busy 18 month old can make in a VERY short time I think that maybe those will have to wait.

THANKS NANNA !!!

Crafting Day

Here are the results of the crafting day the children and I had almost two weeks ago. I wanted so desperately to make some valentines decorations so we planned very carefully to take that Friday {mostly} off from school and household duties. We had a simple breakfast and packed lunches the night before to try to reduce some of the time spent on those things on that day. We had fun making these very simple crafts/decorations together.

And then one of them got the bright idea that they should all have their picture taken with the project framing their face. So...
